Possibilities & Power

(God Will Save A Nation In A Day: El Salvador)

   My heart is burning with a desire to share with you as much as is possible the glories of God’s presence that continue to manifest and increase in every meeting this year.  Indeed, it is the year of “more” and of His fullness. I am leaving each place of ministry overwhelmed with what God did.  As I look into my heart I see Ephesians 1:3 from Ben Campbell Johnson’s  Heart of Paul, for we have truly experienced this.

I can only say “Praise God for his gifts to us through Christ, who revealed

both our possibilities and the power to actualize them….”

   How can we say “thanks?”  Only, “To God be the glory!”  And may the blessings and benefits continue on the behalf of His people and His Cause!  He indeed is releasing to us His great possibilities and power.

   I am touched also by Dr. Ben Campbell Johnson’s introduction to his paraphrase of the Book of Ephesians in the Heart of Paul.  “In this letter, Paul wanted to give his readers as complete a concept as possible of the total Christian life – what Christ has done for his people, what their responsibilities are to Christ, and just what it means to be a Christperson.”

   Ephesians 1:11-14 of The Everyday Bible was quickened to me this morning and released me to write this account to you.  (I returned from El Salvador last night.)  On May 3, 1994 I had written at the top of the page of The Everyday Bible, referring to Ephesians 1:14, “I have the Holy Spirit so I will get what God promised!”  Ten years later this is a reality in my life and ministry.

THE FRUIT CONTINUES

   The Word of God says that the Kingdom of God is as a seed, and truly it is.  As a seed is planted, the fruit continues in increasing measure.  Someone said, “Man can count the number of seeds in an apple, but only God can count the number of apples in a seed.”  And as Asuncion spoke to me October 1998, “See what a tiny seed can do!”

   Ana Maria Fernandez, assistant to Apostle Harold Caballeros, sent this statement attesting to another awesome miracle of the Lord, relating to Asuncion and these precious Guatemalan saints, “Asuncion is Apostle Harold Caballeros’ mother-in-law, his wife Cecilia’s mother.  You will be blessed to know that Asuncion’s relative represented Guatemala as the United Nations voted whether or not Israel was to be a nation.  Asuncion’s relative, by reading a book that Asuncion’s mother lent him, knew in his heart that Israel had to be a nation.  At that pivotal time in history, he was able to be the one to make a turning point on the deciding vote determining that Israel would indeed be a nation!  Asuncion is a mighty prophetic intercessor.”

   Asuncion was referring to my first time ministry in Guatemala City February 1983.  Harold and Cecelia asked me to minister for their group after I ministered for Apostles Jim and Marion Zirkle in Quezltanango.  I did so, ministering to 35 people.

   Apostle Harold spoke in our Intercessors’ 500 Conference May 1997.  He shared that they had taken “Sister Bobbie Jean’s revelation on prophetic intercession” (February 1983) and had birthed their church from the teaching.  Today, they have thousands of members.  This is everlasting fruit to God’s glory from that tiny seed.

   In October 1998 Asuncion was referring to something else.  We had gathered in Guatemala City for the Prayer Conference For Worldwide Evangelism, under the leadership of Dr. Peter Wagner.  As they led me to the front row to be seated, Asuncion came immediately to me, took my shoulders, and with great intensity said, “See what a tiny seed can do!”

   What was she referring to?  I had planted the tiny seed by teaching 35 people prophetic intercession there in February 1983.  In October 1998, that church – El Shaddai – was hosting this God-ordained conference.  Represented were 112 nations, which came to pray for the evangelism of the world.  What a joy and victory!  From 35 people to multitudes from 112 nations, to multitudes being saved and laborers being sent forth.

   When El Salvador was being ravaged by communist guerilla warfare (1980-1992), God used me in Quezaltenango to prophesy and to declare the end of the war and the salvation of El Salvador.  Pastor Tom Reilly of the World Harvest Christian Center Church in Chula Vista, California has a tremendous testimony from the fruit of this.

   In May 2001 I ministered again in Quezaltenango.  Two pastors in attendance from El Salvador told Apostle Marion they wanted me to come to El Salvador.  I agreed to pray and to come.  Since then an El Salvador pastor ordered 200 Spanish Power of the Secret Place books.  God’s time for me to go was May 16-20, 2004.  So much happened it would be impossible to share all of it with you.  However, let’s allow the Holy Spirit to choose what I should share.

  First of all, going back to the March 2004 Overflow in which Pastor Ron Crum and Pastors Russell & Barbara Plilar gave testimonies related to the Guatemala testimony let me add this exciting testimony.  On May 19 in El Salvador a young man and his wife came to me after the 8:30 am – 1:00 pm time of ministry.  I had shared about the seven hours of praying in tongues in Guatemala July 7, 1983 which was used by God to cut off an intended military coup.  The young man said, “My father was in politics in Guatemala from 1980-1992.  He was a part of strategizing and planning the coups.  After the time you spoke about this morning, my father was completely astounded.  The 1983 coup failed and though they continued to strategize and plan coups through those years, none of the coups were successful.  Now we know why. Today my father is a Christian.”

   Now saints, how is that for God ordering one’s steps and directing one’s path?  Twenty years and ten months later, I am told this glorious testimony.

GOD’S TIME FOR THE YOUNG

   Many churches, pastors and wives attended the conference.  They told me that this was the first time there had been cooperation and unity among the pastors.  They also said they had received teaching on the Holy Spirit, but had never had the teaching come with revelation and penetration as well as with power, demonstration and manifestation.  They had wanted me to share on the Holy Spirit, Intercessory Prayer, and the Power of the Secret Place.  God miraculously caused this to happen.

   As the power of the Word and the Holy Spirit went forth on Wednesday, suddenly a commotion took place about eight rows from the back.  I stopped and asked if there was a problem and asked if we needed to pray.  They responded that a man had fainted onto the floor.  I and the pastor of the church went back.  A young man lay unconscious.  Everyone was praying in tongues.  I took authority over Satan and death; commanding that the young man be loosed, let go, and the devil to come out of him.  He began to foam at the mouth and writhe about.  But God…!  He was completely delivered and taken upstairs where the pastor and some ushers led him to be born again!

   The young man was from Nicaragua and was “just passing through.”  An usher had invited him inside.  The glory manifested.  He was set free, born again, and then wanted to go home to tell his family, stating that his mother was a Christian.  The pastors put him on a bus to Nicaragua at 5 am Thursday.

   Is anything too hard for our God?  As I said many times there, “Canst thou believe?  All things are possible for those who believe!”

We are in the days of His possibilities and power!  May it be so!

   On Thursday, I taught on “Priestly Intercession and the Priesthood of the Believer.”  In the teaching I shared the difference between the church God is building and the church man builds.  His Church has Holy Ghost, power, demonstration, manifestation, results and fruit.  I briefly told the people about my grandson Marlan and his friend Mike.

   Mike had recently shared with me that he had gone to a Protestant church once before knowing us.  He was Catholic and was seeking God.  They invited people to be saved and he went forward to receive Christ as his Savior and Lord.  They told him to repeat after them.  He did and they then said, “You are now born again.”

   He was questioning me about it, because he had gone away unchanged and with the same weight and burden.  But, when Marlan prayed for him in January 2004 he knew a demon (responsible for the weight and burden) left him, and he was changed, born again, and everyone else knew it too.  What was the difference?  That previous church had no power of the Holy Ghost!

   God’s Holy Ghost and power prevailed every service in El Salvador.  After the Thursday morning’s teaching, the glory moved in.  People began to pray for one another.  A young man came down and said, “I have made a covenant with Satan.”  I asked if he wanted to renounce Satan, the covenant, and be delivered and saved.  He said, “Yes.”  I did what the Holy Ghost wanted me to do.  He was set free and received the Lord Jesus Christ.

   Saints, I then saw such fear as he lay slain in the Spirit.  I began to take authority over that fear.  I also told the people we had to pray God’s protection for such young people.

   The ushers stood him on his feet.  The fear was great for he knew what Satan and the satanists could do.  I was so moved with compassion.  Then out of my spirit came words that I had first spoken September 21, 1969 when I was baptized in the Holy Spirit: “Te amo.”  I had learned their meaning in Guatemala February 1983: “I love you.”

   The young man’s face and eyes were full of fear.  I looked into his eyes and said over and over, “Dios te ama y yo te amo,”  (God loves you and I love you)!  Suddenly, brilliant light came into his eyes, then astonishment, and then his entire countenance changed.  A big smile came on his face.  It was the most awesome demonstration of God’s perfect love casting out all fear that I have ever seen!  Glory to God!  The pastor and ushers took him upstairs and he was immediately baptized in the Holy Ghost!

Where God’s love is, there is no fear, because God’s perfect love takes away fear….

GOD’S TIME FOR GOVERNMENT

   God’s timing is perfect “For The Cause.”  One of the major reasons I was to be in El Salvador has to do with the following.

   For the first time in the history of El Salvador a Christian has been elected president.  As the presidential campaign began, he was number 17 in popularity and running as a candidate of a party only four years old.  As I talked with missionary Pastor David Hammonds February 21, he expressed great concern for the uncoming elections and asked us to pray.  We did so.  Tony Saca rose from the number 17 position to be elected president in the March elections.  In his acceptance speech he gave full glory to God.

   Wednesday, May 19, I was taken to meet and to pray for this man.  (His cousin who has been appointed to a newly created position representing Christians from both the Protestants and the Catholics was also there.)  A very humble but powerful God-chosen man sat before me.  As I heard President–elect Saca speak, I was moved with God’s heart for him.  Protocol prevents me from sharing the details of that visit.  However, God’s glory manifested, and as I shared with him, prophesied, and prayed, the Lord did say this powerful word, “When the burden is heavy, the decisions are difficult, be still, listen, and know that I am God.”

Be still, and know that I am God:

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.

      Thursday, May 20, I was taken to the Palace to meet and to minister to Comisionado Ricardo Mauricio Menesses Orellana.  He is the Director General of Police in El Salvador.  There are 17,000 officers under his authority.  Two leaders under him were also present.  One is the authority over all logistics including promotions, placement etc. of the 17,000 officers.  The other man is the authority over the National Crime and Drug Unit of the 17,000 officers.  Two official national civil chaplains were also present. 

   What a joy to hear the Director General share about God’s appointing him, and the 5,000 member church among the officers.  Again, protocol prohibits details.  But as I ministered to and prayed for him, the four present and the 17,000 officers – God’s Almighty power went forth.  The Director General gave me two precious and valuable gifts and he said, “These give you power and authority in El Salvador.  And I ask you to pray for me ( and us) everyday.”

   Government!  God says that He will save a nation in a day!  (See Zechariah 3:9.)  But it will not be by force, power, or might; it will be by His Holy Spirit! (See Zechariah 4:6.)  Seeing the supernatural work in the government, including law and order, in El Salvador quickens me to the “possibilities and power” of God at work in the nations today.  What is at the top comes down.  The time is NOW!!!

ALL NATIONS

   Saints, God wants all nations to receive the glorious Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.  He has put the nations ( and of course that includes America) in my heart.  When the Holy Ghost prays through you, you will be praying for the nations.  Jesus’ Great Commission will be fulfilled.

Jesus came close and spoke to them:  “Complete authority has been given to me throughout the universe.  I commission you now to go into every nation on earth and teach everyone what I have taught you.  Initiate them into your community of faith by baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Teach them also to obey my instruction, and be confident that I will be with you in every event of your life until the climax of history.

Consider these scriptures:

   But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 1:8

   Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons…. 

Acts 10:34

   Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

   And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

   By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

   Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ….

                          Romans 1:3-6

   Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

   But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

   To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever.  Amen.

        Romans 16:25-27

   Saints, with fire shut up in my bones, I told those pastors and their wives (as we were gathered in one of their homes for lunch) after the young man who had been a Satanist, but had become born again and baptized in the Holy Spirit, “We have to teach and train the people in our churches to walk in total dependence and faith in God for their needs.  We must teach and train them to ‘prosper and be in health even as their soul prospers.’  We have spent our time, faith, and anointing praying for members of the church.  We must be strong in faith and in the power-anointing of God to set young people ( and people of all ages) free from the control of Satan, delivering them and bringing them into the Kingdom of God.  It is time for the Church to rise up and be like Jesus in this earth.”

   Those two young men, the packed out meetings, the Word in the Holy Ghost, power, demonstration, and manifestation made me think on the days of Charles G. Finney, Charles H. Spurgeon, Mary Woodworth-Etter, and Smith Wigglesworth.  NOW is the time!  As a matter of fact, He prophesied through me a few weeks ago – “Get ready for the Great, Great Awakening,” etc.  NOW!!!  It is here and shall increase.  God is moving into the tops of governments and into the poorest, lowest gutter.  I saw and experienced it all in El Salvador.

   O, Saints!  “…The work in which we are engaged is like a harvest which is mature and very large.  There are not  many helpers, so ask God to provide additional helpers to gather the harvest' (Luke 10:2 Luke and John An Interpretive Paraphrase). 

   May we all be ready and able to say,

  God’s Spirit is energizing me because he has given me a special appointment to proclaim the good news to poor persons.  He has commissioned me to proclaim liberation to the enslaved, to give vision to the blind, to free the oppressed, to announce that this is the time of God’s action.

    Be blessed in His Great Name FOR THE CAUSE!!!  The nations are waiting including the people in “your world.”  Amen.
